Hypothesis testing with probabilities

Your goal on this task will be either one of the following options.

a) Find a set of data online that describes college students and then compare that number to Naz.
For example 78% of students use Vape pens according to online research, you then survey
students to see if that is true for Nazareth.
b) Compare 2 different groups of students at Nazareth and see if there is a difference. For example
take 2 different majors and compare the percentage of them that have failed at least 1 course.

1) Write an introduction explaining what you will be testing. _____ 4 pts


Make sure to include the significance level and your Ho and Ha
(We will use 5% significance for these topics)

2) Explain how you made sure your data was independent _____ 2 pts

3) Explain how you made the survey random. _____ 2 pts


(simply saying I asked random people will get no credit)

4) Explain how you know you samples less than 10% of population and _____ 3 pts
Made sure the 5 success and 5 failures were achieved.(or np>10 and nq>10)

5) Show all the work for your mechanics. _____ 8 pts

6) Write a conclusion based on your p-value _____6 pts
