-Reporter Thalia Grace’s story
Prince Paris has just arrived back in Troy with Helen of
Sparta. Though nobody is happy about that part. Eve-
ryone in Troy is convinced that Paris was tricked into
falling in love with her and that she will brig war to
our doorstep-me included. I’m wri ng this posed on
the city walls with all the other Trojans (including the
children) all of us holding stones and rocks in our
hands. We plan to stone her to death as soon as she
steps into our sights to prevent a war and keep the
peace. That’s when we see Paris walking hand in
hand with a woman, though I cannot see her as she is
behind the prince. I raise my arm ge ng ready to
throw expec ng everyone else to do the same only to
see men and women alike dropping their stones and
staring at something. Then I see her, the woman, Hel-
en of Sparta, her light brown hair falls down her back
in a cascading waterfall of curled locks and her gleam-
ing blue eyes sparkle in the sun…the next day…I don’t remember any-
thing a er that only that her beauty was the only thing I knew... King
Priam has now sworn to protect Helen of Sparta at all costs.
