I Must Know
It is very important for a child to stay healthy at all times to achieve
proper growth and development of mind and body.
The following are daily habits to be observed so that you will stay healthy:
1. Eat a well-balanced diet. Avoid food that are rich in sugar and high in fats.
2. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.
3. Have plenty of exercise to have strong bones and muscles.
4. Sleep at least eight to ten hours a day.
5. Brush your teeth three times a day or after every meal.
6. Take a bath every day.
7. Wash hands before and after eating and after using the bathroom.
8. Avoid sharing food and drinks especially with a sick child.
9. Do not let your eyes get tired from watching television.
10. Limit the amount of time spent on online gaming and text messaging.
11. Avoid getting near or having contact with sick children.
Even at young age, a child should learn how to keep his or her body
clean. This is important to keep himself or herself healthy.
1. Smell clean. Change your clothes and underclothes every day. If you sweat a
lot, see to it that you change your clothes and underclothes more often.
2. Shine or polish your shoes. As soon as you reach home, remove your shoes.
Freshen them. Do not keep them inside the box.
3. Wash your hair regularly. Keep your hair clean. Massage your scalp with
your fingers and not with your fingernails.
4. Wash your feet at least once a day. Have a small towel exclusively for your
feet. Dry them thoroughly.
Remember that what you do now can influence your health and what you learn
in your younger years can lead to your habits when you grow older.
