Notes or Comments:

• Falls to E2/AS1 guidelines and Viking Substrate Checklists

• Drainage to external spouting is most recommended.

• Specify a fixing bar to secure membrane at the metal drip-edge.

• All drains and outlets are membrane compatible. Note that TPO membranes cannot be welded to
Stainless Steel scuppers or sumps. Outlets and Overflows should have clamping rings and grates.

• NO Acceptance of ply formed sumps or scuppers. Must use correct proprietary fittings for membrane
type.

• Parapet roofs: Consider what happens if the outlet blocks. Where will the water go?

• USE Clamped Outlets and Overflows eg. specify SDM049.

• 80mm / allow 1 outlet and 1 overflow per 55m2 (allows for 200mm rainfall) estimated.

• 100mm / allow 1 outlet and 1 overflow per 90m2 (allows for 200mm rainfall) estimated.

• Specifiers determine correct drainage. Via E1 Surface water calculations rainfall intensity / surface area

• Overflows: Match overflow to outlet capacity: Overflows to be plumbed independent of stormwater

• Ventilation: refer Viking Technical Note Venting for further advice. Recommend 1 cavity vent per 50m2
as minimum, more may be required for specific design. (Not required if a WarmRoof compliant to the
minimum H1 R-Values)

• Cross ventilation of Cold-Roof construction must be included, use castellated battens.

• WarmRoof / WarmSpan use Vapour Barrier or sealed metal deck in Climate Zone 3 locations.

• Safe Access is required for future inspections (e.g., FSW)

• E.G. Safe Ladder or Hatch access, Safety Anchors for fall arrest

• Has a Leak detection system or site inspection programme been specified?
