Project on Files, Folders & Recycle Bin
Introduction
Computers help us store and organize information. We use files to save work like pictures,
music, or homework. We use folders to keep these files neatly arranged. The Recycle Bin helps
us recover files if we delete them by mistake.
1. Create a File and Folder
A file is like a page where we write or draw using a computer.
A folder is like a box that holds many files together.
We can create a file by opening an app like Word or Paint and saving our work.
To create a folder, we right-click and select New > Folder.
2. Move Files and Folders
To move a file or folder, we cut it from one place and paste it into another folder.
This helps keep things organized.
❌ 3. Delete Files or Folders
If we don’t need a file or folder, we can delete it.
Deleted items go to the Recycle Bin first.
4. Rename Files or Folders
We can rename a file or folder to give it a better name.
This helps us find our work easily.
5. Copy Files or Folders
When we copy a file, we make a duplicate.
This is useful when we want the same file in two places.
6. Use the Recycle Bin
When we delete a file, it goes to the Recycle Bin.
We can restore it if we change our mind.
If we empty the Recycle Bin, the file is gone forever.
Acknowledgement
I would like to thank my computer teacher and my parents for helping me understand how to use
