Introduction
AutoCAD is a commercial software application for 2D and 3D computer-aided
design(CAD) and drafting. In this project AutoCAD 2019 Student version (which is
free for study purpose) was used to draw 2D Architectural Plan of Commercial
Plaza(Ground Floor).The purpose for choosing this idea was to explore the
maximum architectural knowledge regarding civil drawings and to enhance AutoCAD
Knowledge. Only ground floor was considered for the because mostly commercial
activities in a plaza took place at the ground floor. This report explains the complete
guide of architectural plan of the commercial Plaza. It gives a brief description of the
chosen architectural plan(i.e Commercial Plaza).Maximum important features of the
commercial plaza were added to demonstrate an appealing architectural plan.
Finally, what was learnt and achieved from this project have been explained in the
conclusion part.
Software Background
AutoCAD is developed and marketed by Autodesk, Inc., AutoCAD was first released
in [Link] to the introduction of AutoCAD its become easy for the drafters to
make drawings that require too much effort in the past before its introduction. As
Autodesk product, AutoCAD had become the most used CAD program worldwide. Its
now become one of the essential tools before any Planning project. Puts a great
precision and detail insights to the commercial [Link] is one of the most reliable
and used tool in this [Link] year its get upgrading to improve user interface and
new features have been introduce to make it upgraded to meet user demands. In
this project Autocad 2019 Student version was used to draw the 2D Technical
Drawing of a commercial Plaza(Ground floor).
Product
The product contains some major parts that are an essential part of any commercial
Plaza. Product seems to be well planned in AutoCAD Drawing. All the necessary
factors such as emergency exits, pathways, security check had also been
considered in the [Link] plot area is 608000 Sq. Ft while Total Built up area or
commercial operational area of the Plaza is around 101823 Sq. Ft. So many layers
such as Walls, Windows , Doors ,cars etc(As shown in Figure 1) has been made to
differentiate and organized the components of the drawing.

Methods
Unit is considered as one of the important part of any drawing in drafting world. Units
used in drawing were inches(Architectural).Self made objects such as cars and trees
were exported from open source models sites in order to show surroundings as well
in the Landscape. Different Commands have been used which have been discussed
in the below heading to finalize this [Link] the master plan was drawn then the
rest of the things were [Link] of the parts were repeated on both right and left
side so Mirror command was used to draw them quickly on both sides.
Commands Used
So commands were used such as:
Line,Trim,Polyline,Rectangle,Copy,Move,Hatch,Match,Offset,Circle,Multiline
text,Mirror,Spline,Fillet,Arc,Block,Layers etc to complete this [Link] commands

Conclusion
This project has bring a lot of learning outcome in our AutoCAD Skill. After
completing this project our skillset has been improved as well as our confidence level
for drawing civil design has been boost up. This project has brought some great
learning stuff that will help us in civil as well as mechanical stuff. The main thing
about this large scale project is that we have learned a lot of AutoCAD Commands.
So many problems have been faced and how to tackle them in drawing was the main
learning part. The large scale drawings also brought hurdles which improves skills by
bringing a better solution. Different ideas also boost up our mind and thinking
abilities in terms of drawings. Also learn how to manage big files and how to
organized too many stuff in layers. Found out AutoCAD to be reliable and handy tool.
The project was really interested and helpful. Although it took too much time to
finalize things but the learning that has been done is priceless. I am confident that I
can give some good civil designing stuff to the clients after working on this project in
the future.
