Section One: Reading Comprehension

Text: Our Eating Habits Today

In many families, meals are not what they used to be. People are often in a hurry and do not take time
to prepare traditional meals. Instead, they eat fast food or simple snacks, which are not always healthy.
Burgers, chips, and sugary drinks have become very common, especially among teenagers.

However, many people are now starting to understand the importance of eating well. Parents and
schools are encouraging children to eat more fruits, vegetables, and homemade meals. In some homes,
weekends are special moments when the family prepares and eats traditional dishes together, such as
cassava with fish or peanut sauce.

Eating healthy helps our bodies and minds. When we eat good food, we feel stronger, think better, and
stay in good shape. That is why doctors and teachers always remind us: good food, good life.
