The ISOPON FASTGLAS Repair Kit contains everything you need to make a tough, permanent, glass fibre-reinforced repair to all kinds of objects.
Simply activate the resin and wet the mat to form a tough flass fibre reinforced plastic. This bonds to most materials and dries in 20-30 minutes
retaining its shape.

For best results, good preparation is essential. All surfaces must be clean and dry prior to application, and any rust or
loose material removed. Degrease surfaces before and after preparation. Application is not recommended over plastics
such as cellophane, polypropylene, polyethylene and polystyrene. This product should NOT be used inside refrigerators,
fridges, food containers or drinking water tanks. For aquatic pond repairs, it is recommended that the repair is allowed to
dry for a minimum of 24 hours and the repair surface thoroughly cleaned with a detergent and rinsed to remove any
residual chemicals.

Infrared Bake Resin technology unsuitable for IR baking.
Application Cut the fibreglass mat to the desired shape and size. When repairing holes allow at least 25mm larger than hole.
Measure out resin into beaker supplied and add hardener at a ratio of 1 pea-size hardener per 10ml (two teaspoons) of
resin.
Mix two components thoroughly. Mix until no streaks of hardener are visible. The resin is now activated and should be
used within 5 minutes.
Using the brush provided, apply an even coat of the activated resin and then carefully apply a layer of the fibreglass mat.
Apply a layer of activated resin onto the fibreglass mat and then work the activated resin into the fibreglass mat until
saturated. PLEASE NOTE: do not return activated resin to the original container. Clean all equipment with acetone
immediately after use.
Further layers may be added as neccessary to achieve desired thickness. PLEASE NOTE: the activated resin will get
warm. Allow to cool before applying further layers.
Allow to dry for a minimum of 20 minutes. To achieve a smooth finish the FASTGLAS Glass Fibre Kit can be finished with
ISOPON P.38 MULTI-PURPOSE BODY FILLER as necessary.
Not recommended for applications below 5°C.

U-POL recommends using GUIDE #7 Guide Coat Aerosol during the sanding process to identify the high and low spots.
Over-Painting
Once sanded, this formulation can be overpainted with most water/solvent-based paint systems.
