1. Convert

i. 1.25 litres to Millilitres (1 Mark)

Solutions
1 L = 1000 ml
1.25 * 1000 = 1250ml
ii. 1500 milligrams to kilograms (2 Marks)
1 kg = 1000g
1 gram = 1000 mg
1500 mg = 1,5grams
1,5 g = ? Kg
1,5/1000 = 0,0015 K g

Second Method
1 kg = 1000 000 mg
1500 mg = ?kg
1500/1000 000 = 0.0015kg
iii. 1250 centimetres to kilometres (2 Marks)
Solutions
1 m = 100 cm
1250/100 = 12,5 metres

1 km = 1000 metres

Calculate the perimeter a rectangle with length 29.5cm and breath 21cm.
P = 2(29,5+21)
= 101 cm
Calculate the perimeter of a square of size 15cm.
P = 15 * 4
= 60 cm

Calculate the perimeter of a triangle with sides of length 11mm, 14mm, 4mm.
P = 11 + 14+ 4
= 29mm
Calculate the perimeter of a triangle with sides of length 26cm, 11cm, 23cm.
P = 26+11+23
= 60cm
What is the circumference of a circle with a radius of 9m?
C = πd 2 πr
= 22/7 * 18 2*22/7 *9
4
= 56 22/7*18
7
= 56,57142857 56,57142857
= 56,6 metres 56,6metres
A tyre has a radius of 60cm, what is the circumference?
P = 2π r
= 2 * 22/7 * 60
= 22/7 * 120
= 377,1428571 cm
= 377,1 cm

A semicircle has a radius of 13cm, calculate its perimeter?

P = (22/7 * 13 ) + 2 *13
= 40.8571429 + 26
= 66.857
= 66,9 cm
