How to Measure - Best Practice

• All garments are to be measured flat, no garments are measured hanging.

• Entire garment should be on flat surface, no parts hanging off.
• Unless otherwise specified, all points are to be measured on the outside of the garment.
• Unless otherwise specified, allow garments to lay naturally. Bottoms will typically be naturally lower at the front waist
when flat; do not force front and back waists to align at top edge.
• Unless otherwise specified, all points are to be measured on wearer’s right side.
• If not specified, all points should be measured with the garment relaxed (not stretched or extended).
• On down/insulated styles, do not flatten or compress the garment.
• It is recommended to use the same measuring tape for all samples, and to replace your soft measuring tape as soon as it
starts to stretch out.
• All minimum stretch POMs must be measured AFTER relaxed measurements and body/form fittings are completed.
• For questions or concerns on how to measure a specific point, please reach out to your technical design team.
