TABLE OF CONTENT

 Objectives

 Scope of work

 Procedures and Controls

 Risk assessment and safety analysis

 Emergency preparedness plan:

1. Scope :
Loading and unloading of all Material.

2. List of major equipments :

1. Tyre Mounted Hydraulic Mobile Crane
2. Crawler Crane
3. Tyre Mounted HydraCrane
4. Slings :As per material weight sling should be use
5. D Shackles :As per material weight D shackle will be used
i) Spreader Beam for steel plat lifting
6. PP rope :-As per material weight Guide line manila Rope should be use)
7. Procedure:
 Tyre Mounted Hydraulic Mobile Crane, Crawler Mounted Mechanical Crane and mobile hydra crane is placed in a safe position by
considering of ground level and its compactness.
 Lifting tools and plants are listed by considering of safe working load in tandem.
 Lifting tools and plants are analysed, load is compared and verified against performance specification
 Trailer is marched to the crane for safe accessing of load/material.
 Weight of load/material is determined.
 Centre of Gravity of the load/materials is assured.
 Slinging of load followed by safe method is done by slingers (in keeping view of sling angle to the horizontal).
 Load/material is hold by crane at the safe distance/clearance maintaining between trailer and lower surface of load.
 Loaded material with trailer will be tied properly & move slow as per supervisor’s guide line.
 Trailer is released after lifting the load by crane.
 Material/load is lowered down and kept over slipper.
 Detachment of the sling after releasing the materials and lowering the crane’s hook.

3. Tandem Lifting may be applied in some cases. Separate lift plan will be filled up during tandem lifting.
 Placement of cranes at safe distance to avoid any hindrance from boom to boom or with others.
 Trailer is marched to the crane for safe accessing.
 Determine the C.G. of the load to be lifted for unloading.
 Lifting tools and plants are listed by considering of safe working load in tandem. Tandem lifting process will applied rarely
 Lifting tools and plants are analysed, load is compared and verified against performance specification.
 Weigh of loads/materials and safe working load for the duration of lifting operation are calculated at each participating hook.
 The location and route of travel in relation to the Centre of Gravity is calculated.
 Slinging of load followed by safe method (in keeping view of sling angle to the horizontal).
 Lifting of materials/load by crane within safe working load.
 Load/material is hold by crane at the safe distance/clearance maintaining between trailer and lower surface of load.
 Trailer is released after lifting the load by crane.
 Placement/lowering down of materials/load over slipper.
 Detachment of the sling after releasing the materials and lowering the crane’s hook.

4. Safety hazards/ Risk Analysis

 Material may fall on person
 Hit by sling/hook/counter part of crane
 Failure of lifting gears
 Toppling of crane/hydra
 Failure of tool's & tackles/wire ropes
 Crane boom may fall by improper operation.
 Uniform & solid ground condition will ensure.
 Guideline rope will be used for handling the material while lifting activity .

5. Control Measure
 Person should not enter lifting suspension and swing area.
 Allowed only trained workers
 Brief about hazard & control measure to the workers engaged
 Close coordination in between operator & slinging man/signal man
 Proper approach to be ensured.
 Use safety shoes, safety helmet, gloves, and goggles.
 Deploy trained crane operator and signal man.
 Ensured that materials are secured properly and placed evenly.
Person should not stand below lifting material.
 Operation Area barricading.

RISK ASSESMENT AND SAFETY ANALYSIS:

 Risk Assessment

 General Hazard

There are various risk associated with working on site activities in upper elevation .

 Fall Person
 Fall of material

PPE’S and working facilities with safe access.

PPE should be ensure.. safety helmet with chin strip, safety hand gloves,. with safe way access to provide.
 SAFETY PRECAUTION:

The necessary safety precaution require for safe work carried out as per requirement, The following some of the key word guide line to be
followed during the erection lifting activities,

 Necessary sign boards in case of emergency evacuation route shall be displayed.

 Only authorised person or gang involve the working area.
 Clear access shall be providing for safe way.
 Proper emergency evacuation and communication to be established.
 Safety meeting / gang training shall be arranging before start the specific work.
 Safety person / supervisor to be stay at the time erection.
 TBM/ Group discussion shall be conduct before lifting or erection.
 Two people should be involved for guide the material with PP rope 5meter.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLAN:

Fire watch to be locate near the working zone in case of any fire incident assign during the execution as in hot work, Arc welding , Grinding work
activity, and aware of the existing as per the safety standard and client provided fire fighting.
