SBI Application Guidelines and Eligibility
Candidates encountering issues while submitting their online application should attempt to apply well before the closing date to avoid system congestion. SBI advises against waiting until the last day due to the potential for internet disconnection or website overload, over which the SBI has no control, and will not take responsibility .
Candidates may miss out on crucial updates regarding call letters and advisories if they fail to maintain active communication channels, such as keeping their registered email ID and mobile number up-to-date. This can jeopardize their ability to participate in subsequent stages of the selection process due to missed notifications .
The joint National Apprenticeship Certificate is crucial for Trained Apprentices of SBI as it forms part of the criteria for eligibility for upper age limit relaxation. It is obtained by successfully completing the apprenticeship training, which includes passing the skill evaluation test (Trade Test) and the certificate is issued jointly by SBI-NSDC/BFSI-SSC .
If a candidate submits multiple applications, only the last valid and completed application will be retained, and any fees paid for other applications will be forfeited. Multiple attendance or appearances for an exam by a candidate will result in summary rejection and cancellation of their candidature .
Candidates bear the responsibility of ensuring that all information provided in their application is correct and complete. SBI relies on the information furnished for admittance to the examination; however, verification of age, qualification, category, and other eligibility criteria occurs only at the time of joining. This places considerable accountability on the candidate to avoid misinformation .
Trained Apprentices of SBI, whose engagement start date is on or after 01.01.2022 and who have completed the specified branch experience of one year successfully by 26.08.2025, are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit. This benefit is contingent on having satisfactory conduct and performance during the training period, passing the skill evaluation test (Trade Test), and obtaining a joint National Apprenticeship Certificate issued by SBI-NSDC/BFSI-SSC .
Candidates are advised to print and retain a copy of their system-generated online application form to have proof of their submission and reference for ensuring that all information was accurately entered and submitted. This can also serve as a document of reference for any discrepancies or verification needed in the future .
Candidates must retain their preliminary exam call letters because these call letters will not be collected at the examination venue. For those advancing to the Main Exam, it is necessary to bring both the preliminary and main exam call letters along with other requisite documents as specified in the "acquaint yourself booklet" and call letter instructions .
Once submitted, any request for change or correction in the application particulars, including category, will not be entertained under any circumstances. No correspondence, telephone, or email communication will be acknowledged regarding this matter, highlighting the importance of accurate and careful application submission .
Candidates should ensure they fulfill the eligibility and other norms as of the specified date, correctly complete their application forms according to the prescribed format, and verify their eligibility by themselves before applying. They should apply online well before the closing date to avoid technical issues due to web traffic. They are also advised to keep their registered contact details active for communication. The SBI does not take responsibility for any application delays due to technical or uncontrollable factors .
