Since the drive to Dieng Plateau is long, this year we have replaced Dieng Plateau with visit of the nearby Candirejo village.

DAY 1
BEACH HOTEL SOUTH BALI - FLIGHT TO YOGYAKARTA AND ARRIVAL IN YOGYAKARTA - HOTEL IN YOGYAKARTA (NO MEALS)
Pickup from your hotel in South Bali and transfer to airport. Short flight to Yogyakarta. You will be welcomed by your guide who will
escort you to your hotel in Yogyakarta. This day you will get a chance to discover the city by your own. We recommend to take a
walk through Jalan Malioboro where you can find a lot of souvenirs and antique shops or just relax at the swimming pool of your
hotel. In the evening you get served a tasty dinner at your hotel. (No meals incl.)

DAY 2
YOGYAKARTA - SIGHTSEEING CITY TOUR - PRAMBANAN TEMPLE (B / L)
After the breakfast you start your Yogyakarta sightseeing tour. The city has around 1 mil. citizens and is the most important cultural
city of Java with a huge number of art productions, universities and monuments. They do preserve their cultural heritage well.
During your tour you will visit the Kraton, which are the king’s palace and also the ruins of the water castle Taman Sari. In the end of
the tour you will come to the old town to see the traditional market and visit one place where they produce Batik and silver
carvings. Yogyakarta is famous in the whole of Asia for their silver carvings and Batik. In the afternoon you will go to visit the temple
Prambanan, a holy place for the Hindus. The locals also call it "Loro Jonggrang" (slim lady). This big temple complex was finished in
the year 856. It was built for the gods Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu. The basic reliefs are telling the wonderful and exiting legend of
Ramayana; it starts at the east gate and continues clockwise. Return to your hotel, the evening is free for your own activities.

Optional you can have dinner (buffet) during watching the traditional dance from the historic Ramayana legend at Pura Wisata. (Not

DAY 3
YOGYAKARTA - BOROBUDUR - CANDIREJO VILLAGE - YOGYAKARTA (B / L)
After breakfast depart to Borobudur Temple, the largest Buddhist sainthood in the world! During the years 775 until 856 there were
30.000 stone carvers and 15.000 porters participating on its construction, which mightiness amazes all visitors until today. On the
way short stop at Candi Mendut and Candi Pawon.
Continue driving to Candirejo Village, a rural village settled near the Borobudur amid lush greenery and rainforest. You will get a
taste for local life with a horse cart ride, known as a dokar, the local horse cart leads quietly through this peaceful, charming village.
Travel along small lanes lined with traditional houses and stop to see village activities such as making cassava crackers, learning to
play gamelan, and strolling around their vegetable garden. Enjoy a traditional Javanese lunch in the village. Following lunch,
return to your hotel in Yogyakarta and rest of the day at leisure (breakfast and lunch incl.)

DAY 4
YOGYAKARTA - RAILWAY TO JOMBANG - MOUNT BROMO (B / L)
After an early breakfast check-out from your hotel in Yogyakarta and transfer to the railway station in Yogya. The way from
Yogyakarta to East Java, Jombang (around 3 ½ h) leads through an always changing landscape, passing by volcanos and plantations.
At around 10.30 AM arrival in Jombang. You will have a transfer from the rail station to Mt. Bromo. (Transfer time around 3 h)
Around 1:30 pm check-in your hotel at Mt. Bromo. (breakfast and lunch incl.)

DAY 5
TOSARI - MT. PENANJAKAN - MT. BROMO - SURABAYA - FLIGHT TO BALI (B / L)
Early morning (around 4am) you will start your tour by using jeeps to reach the panorama platform of the Mount Penanjakan (2.770
m). Only from there you can have the famous view on the volcanoes like seen on post cards. From there you can see Mount Batok
(2.440 m) and also the still active volcanoes Mount Bromo (2.393 m) and Mount Mahameru (3.676 m). From this platform you will
see the spectacular and unique sunrise over the surrounding volcanoes which is the absolute highlight of this tour. Still by Jeep, you
will cross the Sea of Sand to reach the safe radius around Mount Bromo. When governmental regulations allow, you can climb up
the 245 steps to reach the rim of Mount Bromo. Afterwards you will return to the hotel and have your breakfast. Then you will
return to Surabaya and arrive at the airport in the early afternoon. Flight to Bali. The tour ends with a transfer to your beach hotel in
South Bali. (breakfast and lunch incl.)
