identification of common and proper nouns, followed by the creation


of a new story:

Storybook Title: "The Magical Forest Adventure"

Step 1: Give the group the storybook "The Magical Forest


Adventure."

Step 2: Identify and underline the common and proper nouns in the
story. Here are some examples:

• Common Nouns: forest, tree, river, animal, flower, mountain

•Proper Nouns: Whispering Woods (the name of the forest), Magic


Oak Tree (the tree that played a significant role in the story), Swift
River, Sparkle Bunny (a magical creature they encountered),
Enchanted Lily (a rare flower), Mystic Mountain

Step 3: Now, have the group create a new story using the common
and proper nouns they identified. Here's a sample story:

Title: "The Quest for the Enchanted Lily"

Once upon a time in the Whispering Woods, there stood a


magnificent Magic Oak Tree. The tree was said to possess incredible
powers and was a source of wisdom for all the animals in the forest.

One sunny morning, a group of friends - Leo the Lion, Sophie the
Squirrel, and Benny the Bear - decided to embark on an adventure.
They heard about the legendary Enchanted Lily that grew only at
the top of Mystic Mountain, and they believed that it could grant a
single wish to anyone who found it.

The trio set out on their journey, crossing Swift River and venturing
deep into the forest. Along the way, they encountered Sparkle
Bunny, a friendly and magical creature who offered to guide them to
Mystic Mountain.
As they returned to their forest home, they noticed that the forest
had indeed become a happier and more magical place, thanks to
the Enchanted Lily's magic. Leo, Sophie, and Benny had not only
found a treasure but also shared its magic with their beloved
Whispering Woods.
The end.
