Navya:

Today I’m going to talk about a topic that affects each and every one of us every single day
— Good Nutrition, Hygiene, and Well-being. These three elements are the foundation of a
healthy and happy life.

Advika:

Without proper nutrition, our body doesn't have the fuel it needs to grow, play, and learn.
And if we don’t keep ourselves clean, we can easily fall sick. So all three of them go hand in
hand.

Palak:
It’s like a team—nutrition, hygiene, and well-being all work together to make us strong inside
and out. When we understand and follow all three, we’re ready to take on the day with
energy and confidence!

Samaira:

Now what is good nutrition?

Nutrition means the food we eat to keep our body strong and healthy. Good nutrition is when
we eat a mix of different types of food:

Carbohydrates like rice, bread, and potatoes for energy

Proteins like eggs, milk, dal, and meat to help our body grow

Vitamins and minerals like fruits and vegetables to fight sickness

And of course, water to keep us fresh and hydrated

When we eat the right foods, we feel more active, focused, and strong.

Nakshita:

Eating the right foods doesn’t just help us grow — it also helps us fight diseases. Good
nutrition improves our immunity, supports brain function, keeps our weight in check, and
reduces the risk of illnesses like diabetes or heart problems. Remember the saying: “You are
what you eat” and it’s true!

Advika:
Ok! I understand nutrition is important but what about hygiene?

Palak:

Let me take hold to explain that part.

Hygiene means keeping our body and surroundings clean. It helps stop germs and keeps us
healthy.

Hygiene includes:
Bathing every day
Brushing our teeth
Washing our hands before & after eating our food
Wearing clean clothes
These small habits can stop many common illnesses like colds, stomach infections, and
more.

Navya:
Here are some easy habits you can follow every day:

Use soap to wash your hands properly

Cut your nails regularly
Keep your school bag and books tidy

When we stay clean, we also feel fresh and more confident!

Nakshita:
Hereafter What is Well-Being?
Well-being means feeling good in every way — physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s
about being healthy & happy.

When we manage stress, sleep well, and stay active, it helps our mind and body stay
balanced.

Well-being also includes spending time with people we love and doing things that make us
smile.

When we take care of ourselves, we feel better, we do better, and we live better.

Samaira:
Now you may wonder: How are they all connected ?
Let me explain: Good nutrition gives us the energy we need. Hygiene protects us from
diseases. Together, they help us stay well — not just physically, but also mentally.

A clean body and a healthy diet lead to better mood, better focus in studies, and better
sleep.

When we follow these habits every day, we feel stronger and more confident.

These small choices shape our future health. Staying consistent with good habits brings big
results over time.

To make the topic more interesting, we have prepared a skit that brings these concepts to
life showcasing the importance of nutrition, hygiene, and well-being in a teenager’s life.

SKIT

Nakshita :
Good afternoon. Today, we step inside the body of a 14-year-old girl—an average teenager.
But her internal system is no longer average. It’s struggling. Let’s hear directly from the
organs and systems she depends on every day.

(Turns toward Samaira)

First, we hear from the Brain.
Samaira (Brain – serious):
I, The Brain, try to help her think clearly, focus, and learn. But I’m tired. With irregular meals
and no proper nutrition, I can’t function at my best. She calls it “feeling blank”... but it’s me
asking for help.

Nakshita (Narrator):
Next, the Stomach.

Navya (Stomach – calm but firm):

She often skips breakfast and eats fast food almost daily. I go from overloaded to empty in a
single day. Digestion is disrupted. Nutrient absorption? Almost zero. And I can't grow with
her unless she gives me real food.

Nakshita (Narrator):
Let’s hear from The Sense of Hygiene—the often-forgotten guardian.

Palak (The Sense of Hygiene – concerned tone):

She forgets handwashing. Misses showers after sports. Sleeps without brushing. It may
seem small—but germs don’t stay small. I try to protect her, but without basic hygiene,
infections take over silently.

Nakshita (Narrator):
Finally, we hear from the one who suffers it all — Body Energy.

Advika (Body Energy – tired but sincere):

I’m her strength, her immunity, her fuel. But her choices drain me. No movement, no
hydration, no rest. I’m stretched thin. How can I keep her active, glowing, and growing if she
doesn’t take care of me?

(Pause. Nakshita walks slowly to center stage.)

Nakshita (Narrator – softly but powerfully):

Each of them works quietly. Every day. But today, they’ve spoken. Loud and clear.
And maybe… it’s time we listen.

Samaira:
“This is your body speaking.
If you don’t care for it now—
it may not carry you forward later.”

Now If “Your body is talking. Are you actually listening?”

🌿 Maybe Yes! If you Eat Right. Stay Clean. Move Daily.

These actions form a preventative barrier against communicable diseases, thus maintaining overall health .

The concept 'You are what you eat' encapsulates the document's message by summarizing how dietary choices fundamentally shape one's health and energy levels. Good nutrition provides the necessary fuels and nutrients for optimal body function, affecting everything from physical health to mental acuity and emotional stability . Nutrition provides the energy and nutrients necessary for proper body function, hygiene prevents disease and promotes health, and well-being encompasses physical, mental, and emotional health. A balanced diet offers carbohydrates for energy, proteins for growth, and vitamins and minerals to avoid illness . Hygiene practices like bathing and washing hands prevent infections . Together, these elements ensure a strong and healthy lifestyle by maintaining physical health and mental clarity .

Consistency in good nutritional and hygienic habits is emphasized because it leads to sustainable health improvements over time. This steady application of healthy behaviors ensures accumulated positive effects on health and vitality.

'Body Energy' in the skit reflects the depletion experienced by the body when subjected to poor lifestyle habits. A lack of movement, hydration, and rest drains energy levels, reducing the teen's ability to stay active, healthy, and responsive . This representation stresses that energy alongside nutrition and physical activity is essential for maintaining strength and supporting the body's functions effectively.

Neglecting basic hygiene practices, according to the skit, leads to silent but serious health issues. The 'Sense of Hygiene' warns that without handwashing, showering post-exercise, and dental care, germs proliferate, leading to infections . If teenagers do not prioritize health and hygiene, as the skit suggests, they risk long-term health implications such as chronic illnesses, weakened immune responses, and compromised cognitive function. Poor lifestyle choices can lead to cumulative negative effects, like increased likeliness of diabetes or cardiovascular diseases later in life due to neglect during formative years . The skit warns that without change, these detrimental choices could severely impact future health and capabilities.

In the skit, 'The Brain' characterizes the cognitive struggles of a teenager due to poor nutrition and hygiene. It highlights the brain's difficulty in functioning optimally without regular meals and proper nutrition, leading to what is described as 'feeling blank' . The brain's role is crucial as it underlines the importance of adequate nutrition for cognitive clarity and learning efficiency.
