**So you found your FTO and you are ready to go patrol the streets and help NYC

community.**
Great! You will first use one of the many commands to join the police team. After
joining the police team, you will be automatically teleported to the police
station. You will see many lockers but be sure to grab the correct tools for your
rank. A section will be written below showing what ranks can grab which tools.
After picking your loadout, you will need to grab a uniform. For Lieutenants and
above, you will grab the white uniform. For Sergeants and below, you will grab the
blue uniform. Once you have your loadout and uniform, tell your FTO you are ready
to go! Your FTO will explain everything you need to do while patrolling.

**Arresting a Suspect**
So you chased down a suspect and you are ready to arrest. You will see many buttons
on the side of your screen but do not worry, these will all be simplified!

*Charges*
STOP! Before you do anything, copy Miranda Rights (miranda rights are sent below
this message) and paste it into chat, then continue with what is listed below.

To start, you will choose the suspect's charges. For every crime you witnessed them
do, you click the check box titled what that crime was.
For instance, if the suspect punched a player then ran away, you would click
"Assault" and "Fleeing." Assault because they punched a player and fleeing because
they ran.

Now that you have clicked the correct boxes, you have to say in chat what you
clicked. So if it was assault and fleeing, say in chat, "Assault, Fleeing."
Finally, click "Book" at the bottom of the UI to send them to jail.

*Detaining*
Detaining can be very useful in a variety of situations. For instance, if you do
not know how to handle a player's arrest, then you can simply click "Detain" at the
bottom of the arrest menu to hold the suspect still while you call for a
supervisor.

You can also use detaining if there is a situation that is too stressful to arrest
someone in (arresting someone while someone is punching you, etc.)

**Finishing your patrol and logging it**

Great job on your patrol! You arrested many bad guys and cleaned the streets of
criminals. Now it is time to sign off. Before you sign off, make sure you have been
signed on for at least 20 minutes. 20 minutes is the required time before you can
log your patrol.

**Getting that promotion**

The ranking system within NYPD is extremely simple! Each rank that you may be
working towards has it's own requirements and milestones before you get that
promotion! Remember, it's important to work towards your promotion and earn it
instead of asking for it. Promotions in NYPD are not given out randomly, and asking
for one may result in a strike or other disciplinary action! Here are the
requirements you need to meet!

Officer - 10 Patrol logs with a supervising FTO OR passing an FTO Tryout.

Senior Officer - 25 Patrol logs and 5 Event Logs
Sergeant - 50 patrol logs and 10 Event Logs

**High Ranks**
Lieutenant - 120 Patrol Logs, 15 Event Logs
Captain - 120 Patrol logs, 25 Event Logs
High ranks are often handpicked. You may need to show other signs of good
leadership, and interest in becoming a part of the High Ranks before you are
considered for the promotion.

**Weapons**

The NYPD offers many different choices of weapons to it's officers! Here are the
ranks you have to be to use each weapon!

G22 - Probationary Officer +

G26 - Probationary Officer +

FiveSeven - Officer +

Remington - Sergeant + OR ESU

AR-15 - Lieutenant + OR ESU

**Tools**
Handcuffs - Probationary Officer +

Taser - Probationary Officer +

Baton - Probationary Officer +

Pepper Spray - Probationary Officer +

Battering Ram - Sergeant +

Riot Shield - Captain +

**Thank you for reading this**

If you read through all of this, thank you. Please do read over the Standard
Operating Procedure handbook as well, to answer all other questions. Please feel
