2.2 A person falling on a heap of sand does not hurt more as compared to a person falling on a
concrete floor. Why?
Answer: Sand increases the time of impact, reducing the force on the body, while concrete stops
the body suddenly, giving a greater force and more injury.
2.3 State the conditions under which birds fly in air.
Answer: Birds fly by producing lift with their wings and reducing weight effect, using air
resistance and wing flapping.
