situation (i.e., never had much success at dating, returning to dating
after a relationship, relatively effective at dating but want to work on
skills)?
2. What would you say is your greatest hindrance to successful dating?
3. What thoughts come to mind when you read the following statement? “A
really great woman wouldn’t be interest in me because. . . . .”
4. What is the most significant flaw about you that you fear a woman will
discover if she gets to know you? How big of a hindrance to dating is
this for you?
5. This course will require you to do some things that might arouse fear
and anxiety. Things like going out in public more, talking to strangers,
making eye contact and smiling at women whom you don’t know, asking
for phone numbers, asking women out on dates, initiating sex, setting
the tone and taking the lead. How motivated are you to face your fears
and do these assignments?

1. Consciously expand your route every day. Go places you don’t regularly
go where there are people (i.e., office lunchroom, the library, a coffee
shop, a book store, the gym, public transportation, etc).
2. Make eye contact with and/or smile at three people (men, women,
children, etc.) every day.
3. Pay attention to the things your mind tells you in regard to both the doing
of this assignment and to how people respond to you.
