Subject: Request for Leave from Internship Due to Family Medical Emergency

Respected Sir/Madam,

I hope you are doing well. My name is Rohit Kumar Gupta, son of Shiv Ji Ram, and I am a student

of [Link] Semester I in your esteemed institution.

I am writing this application with deep respect and a heavy heart to inform you that I will not be able

to attend the upcoming internship, which is scheduled to begin this Thursday. The reason for my

absence is a serious medical emergency in my family.

My maternal grandfather is suffering from terminal stage cancer, and his condition has worsened in

recent days. He is currently bedridden and under continuous treatment. Due to the critical nature of

his health, my presence with the family is essential, as we are now moving from Kolkata to Delhi for

his further treatment and support.

I understand the importance of the internship and assure you that this decision has not been taken

lightly. If circumstances allow, I will definitely try to attend a part of the internship. However, I cannot

make any firm commitment at this moment.

I also understand that there may be academic or administrative consequences due to my absence,

and I am fully prepared to comply with any penalty or alternative arrangement that the institution
may suggest.

Therefore, I humbly request you to kindly consider my situation and grant me leave from the

internship. Your understanding and support during this time would mean a lot to me and my family.
