Speaking – Colin often can’t express himself clearly. He sometimes struggles to find the right words
and makes frequent grammar mistakes, especially with the use of “to”.He often pronounces the letter L
as R and has difficulty with vowel sounds like the "ey" in explain. Still, he engages in simple
conversations and shares his experiences well. He should continue to build vocabulary and
pronunciation awareness.
Reading – Colin can comprehend short texts and instructions but struggles with unfamiliar words. He
learns quickly when vocabulary is previewed or explained and can recognize words once introduced.
Listening – Colin responds better when instructions are spoken slowly or written on the board. He gets
confused with fast speech or longer sentences but follows better when language is rephrased or
simplified.
Writing – Colin can write basic sentences when given a structure or model. Without guidance, his
sentences often lack correct word order and grammar.

Speaking – Practice minimal pairs for “L” and “R” sounds and review common verb patterns
with “to.” Use targeted pronunciation drills for vowel sounds like “ey.”
• Reading – Pre-teach new vocabulary and encourage rereading for word recognition.
• Listening – Use short, clear instructions and provide written support. Practice listening to
slow, clear speech with key vocabulary.
