Guide DELF B2 Tout Public (Adults)

INTRODUCTION
As an official testing centre of the DELF exam, we are providing this guide to help
prepare for the examination.
This guide is intended to help students from B2 level understand the overall
structure of the DELF B2 Tout Public (for adults), as well as, practice some of the
type of exercises that they will encounter during the exam.
More examples and suggestions are available at the
official page of the DELF DALF of France Education
International. We strongly encourage candidates to
review them.
The DELF examination is divided into two sections, each one with a set of categories
that will be evaluated. The sections are:

GROUP EVALUATION

Oral comprehension : 2 exercises (30 minutes)


Listen to recordings and answer the questions.

Written comprehension: 1 exercise (1 hour)


Read some documents and answer questions.

Written expression: 1 exercise (1 hour)


Write 1 text of minimum 250 words.

INDIVIDUAL EVALUATION

Oral expression: 2 parts (50 minutes)

Pour compter le nombre de mots:

Un mot est un ensemble de caractères, séparé


par un espace.

Exemple :
"Je mange une pomme" = 4 mots
"J'ai fait des travaux chez moi" = 6 mots ("j'ai"
= 1 mot)
"Rendez-vous" = 1 mot

The DELF B2 oral expression examination consists of two parts where you
must be able to justify your point of view.

For part 1, the guided monologue: defending your point of view on a


debate

Once you start, you must choose 2 subjects. Select the one you prefer and
prepare your arguments for 30 minutes. You must be clear with the subject
of the document and reformulate the problem with important elements.
After that, you must debate your point of view using examples.

For part 2, the interactive exercise: debate

During this part, the evaluator will ask me questions based on your written
essay. You must defend your point of view and debate it.
