Reagarding the growing fields, south america had the highest figure in terms of cocoa beans production
in 1992 with 143,000 beans while 24,000 beans lower in asia’s was reported. By contrast, oceania’s
started at only 40,000 beans. However, in just 6 years, asia witnessed a sharp increase, about 400%
compare to 1992’s statistic. Similarly, the figure for oceania continuously rose to 77,000 beans. Whereas,
the number in south america dropped slightly to 127,000 beans before a sharp growth, went up to
389,000 beans in 1998
About the other countries, there were only 29,000 cocoa beans in africa, being the least figure of cocoa
beans in 1992. Beside, the beginninng figure for england and north and central america was 56,000 and
46,000 beans respectively. Nevertheless, in 1996, africa’s increased about as fourth as the number in
1992 before a sudden drop to only 25,000 beans at the end of the period. Meanwhile, england’s
fluctuated slightly and reached 49,000 beans in 1998. Additionally, the amount in north and central
america experienced a slight decline in 1992 and went up to 46,000 beans afterwards.
