Where the answer to a question or a number of questions is No, the work must be stopped untill all
requirements are in place.

Have all the contractor’s employees been inducted and is the access
form available?
Have all the contractor’s employees signed the Contractor Orientation
checklist?
Are Risk Assessments and method Statements (RAMS) available for all
works?
Are safety controls identified in the RAMS in use?
Is the contractor working safely? Check if anything done by the contractor
can cause a risk.
If appropriate, are there licences and permits on display on or in the
possession of the contractor, for all high risk activites f.e working at
height permit?
Are up-to-date Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) available for all
chemicals used during the works? Have all chemicals been reported to
JLL?
Are the contractor’s tools and equipment appropriate for the task? For
example, metal ladders must not be used for any electrical work.
Is the portable electrical equipment tested and tagged and in good condition
(ie look for damaged leads, exposed wires)
Is the working area clean and tidy? have the contractor set off their
working area (if needed).
Are contractors using their own equipment and tools?
Have the contractor’s employees left the workplace clean, in good order and
secure for staff and contractors?
