Now, let’s move to second conditionals that talk about imaginary or unreal
situations.
V. WHAT’S NEW (Presentation)
🔑 Definition:
The second conditional is used to talk about situations that are not real or
are unlikely to happen.
🧱 Structure:
If + past simple, would + base verb
Examples:
If I were you, I would study harder.
If she had a spaceship, she would travel to the moon.
If we lived near the sea, we would swim every day.
🔎 Note: Use "were" for all subjects (If I were, If he were, etc.)
