Introduction

The On-the-Job Training (OJT) program serves as a cornerstone of the Bachelor


of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) curriculum, bridging classroom
instruction with immersive real-world application. As a program requirement, each
student is expected to complete 240 hours of supervised industry experience,
equivalent to three (3) academic units, to fulfill the course requirements of AS 131 –
Supervised Industrial Training, as stipulated in CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No.
79, s. 2017.

This subject was undertaken during the Mid-Year Term of Academic Year 2024–
2025. Its aim is to provide students with practical, field-based training that allows them
to apply acquired knowledge and skills in real workplace settings while cultivating
technical expertise, professional values, and instructional readiness.

I was fortunate to complete my OJT at Benguet State University–Buguias


Campus, under the Garments, Fashion, and Design specialization of the BTVTEd
program. This experience deepened my understanding of garment construction, basic
tailoring, and design modification while also involving me in institutional activities that
uphold cultural integrity, educational service, and innovation.

This portfolio narrative presents a detailed account of my journey capturing what


I have learned, the challenges I faced, the values I embraced, and the skills I refined
over the course of my training. It reflects not only a professional milestone but also a
personal commitment to becoming a technically skilled and community-anchored
educator.

The succeeding sections of this report chronicle my weekly tasks and


accomplishments, the skills and insights I gained, and the meaningful challenges that
shaped my personal and professional development throughout the 240-hour journey.
