Understanding Algorithms and Networks

An algorithm is a precise method for performing tasks, with efficiency measured by internal factors like time and space requirements, and external factors such as input size and computer speed. A computer network consists of various components including hosts, servers, clients, network hardware, communication channels, software, and network services. Each component plays a crucial role in facilitating resource sharing and networking tasks.

An algorithm is a method or procedure for accomplishing a specific task,

and which is sufficient precise and that can be programmed on

[Link] computer science,it is known to measure efficiency of
algorithms before applying them on a large scale i.e.,on bulk of [Link]
quality of an algorithms or shall we say ,performance of an algorithms
depends on many internal and external factors.

Internal factors specify algorithm’s efficiency in terms of:

[Link] required to run [Link] required to run.

External factors affect the algorithm’s [Link] include

which it is run

Components of a computer: Merely by joining two computer with a cable

won’t form a network. In fact, there are many components together a
[Link] are briefly discussing below, the major components of a
computer network.

Major components of a computer network are:

[Link]/Nodes.

[Link].

[Link].

[Link] hardware.

[Link] channel

[Link].

[Link] services.

Let us talk about these briefly:

(a)Host or Nodes-The term host or node refers to the computer that are
attached to a network and are seeking to share the resources of the
[Link] course,if there were no nodes, there would be no network at
[Link] our Pc , laptops , smartphones , etc,. when connect to a network
become hosts.

(b)Servers-A server is a very important computer in a network. A server is

responsible for making the networking tasks [Link] other words, a
server facilities networking tasks like sharing of data, resource-sharing,
among hosts.
On small networks, sometimes, all the shareable stuff is stored on the
server.A network can have more than server also. Each server has a
unique name on the network and all users of network identify the users by
its unique name.

On big networks, there can be servers dedicated to specialized task e.g.,a

file server only handles files related requests; a printer server only
handles printing request and so on.

(c)Client-Client is a related term. A client computer is a host computer

that request for services from a server. In others words, a server computer
serves the request of the client computers.

(d)Network hardware-Other than hosts and wiring, a network requires

specialized hardware to carry out various roles, such as establishing
corrections, controlling network traffic [Link] are many different types
of hardware that are required in a [Link] examples of network
hardware are:
