GROUP 1

An alert level was raised over Taal Volcano at 8:00 AM on March, 2022 due to
phreatomagmatic eruption of the Main Crater between 07:22 AM and 08:59 AM that
generated up to 3,000 m-tall eruption plumes. There is an increase occurrence of ash
puffs and persistent swelling of the cone of the volcano. Continous crater glow is also
observed.

Group 2
In mid-March 1991, villagers around Mt. Pinatubo began feeling earthquakes and after
several explosions, an alert level was issued indicating an eruption was in progress.
There was a lateral blast and a widespread ashfall resulting to a 10 cm of ash covering
an area of 2000 square kilometers and most of the 800 people who died during the
eruption died due to the weight of the ash collapsing roofs. A magmatic eruption is also
observed.

Group 3
An advisory on July 2022 was made in areas around Mount Kanlaon due to an increase
in activity of Kanlaon Volcano. A total of forty-one (41) volcanic earthquakes around the
summit area were recorded since 5 AM of June 30, 2022. The increased seismic activity
and short-term ground deformation could generate phreatic or steam-driven eruptions
from the summit crater.
GROUP 1
The alert status of Mt. Kanlaon in Negros Island, one of the active volcanoes in the
country, remains normal despite reported volcanic quakes, the Philippine Institute of
Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has said. Additionally, no magmatic eruption is
foreseen in the immediate future.

GROUP 2
State volcanologists on Monday raised alert level 2 over Mayon volcano due to
increasing unrest.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said alert 2 means,
“there is current unrest driven by shallow magmatic processes that could eventually
lead to phreatic eruptions or even precede hazardous magmatic eruption.”

GROUP 4
Mayon Volcano already started to spit lava and ashes but an explosive eruption is
possible in hours or days,
