Course Learning Objectives:
CLO1: To explain the evolution, principles, and lifecycle of DevOps in modern software
development.
CLO2: To identify and demonstrate usage of key DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Terraform.
CLO3: To describe the architecture, components, and communication mechanisms of microservices.
CLO4: To design and deploy basic microservice-based applications using containerization and
orchestration.
CLO5: To integrate DevOps pipelines into microservices deployment and monitoring for real-world
applications.

Importance, and Goals - DevOps Principles: Collaboration, Automation, Continuous Improvement -
DevOps Lifecycle: Plan, Develop, Build, Test, Release, Deploy, Operate, Monitor.
Module:2: DevOps Practices and Toolchain Hours:9
Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CD) Concepts - Version Control
Systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab) - CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) - Infrastructure
as Code (IaC) Tools (Terraform, Ansible) - Monitoring and Logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
Stack).
