Learning Objective
The students should be able to:
Subtopic 1: Sexual Reproduction in Humas
1. Identify on diagrams and state the functions of the following parts of the male reproductive
system: testes, scrotum, sperm ducts, prostate gland, urethra and penis
2. Identify on diagrams and state the functions of the following parts of the female reproductive
system: ovaries, oviducts, uterus, cervix and vagina
3. Describe fertilisation as the fusion of the nuclei from a male gamete (sperm) and a female
gamete (egg cell)

II. Teaching & Learning Process

First Meeting
Subtopic 1: Sexual Reproduction in Humans
No Activities Duration
1 Introduction
a. Teacher gives a stimulating question to students 10’
b. Students answer teacher questions, share their thoughts, identify common
ideas or unique perspectives in the discussion. During the discussion,
students identify recurring keywords (e.g., survival, offspring, life cycle,
continuity) and record them in their notes. This helps students activate
prior knowledge and set their own learning goals for the topic.
2 Main Activities
a. Students are given two clear diagrams: one of the male reproductive 100’
system and one of the female reproductive system. Working individually
or in pairs, they label the key parts of each system (e.g., testicles, penis,
ovaries, uterus) and write one function for each part next to it. After
labelling, students fill in a simple table comparing the two systems based
on number of organs, location, and main function. The teacher walks
around the class to support and ask guiding questions.
b. Students complete incomplete narrative texts that describe the fertilization
process in sequence. This allows you to consider to judge whether you
need to reinforce the content of this lesson in the next lesson.
3 Closing Activities
a. Teacher review a brief about the lesson by quiz 10’
