Course Objectives:
• Helps to understand the meaning and importance of Constitution as an economical document
• To understand the Preamble of the constitution.
• The course helps to understand and explain the Fundamental rights in proper sense at the same time
identifies his responsibilities in national building.
• The course helps students to analyse the Indian political system, the powers and functions of the
Union and State Governments in detail. Cases that shaped India’s financial landscape
• The course helps students to understand Democratic Decentralization and Fiscal Federalism.

ii) Executive - president-election-powers and functions - Prime Minister –
Appointment, powers and functions
iii) Judiciary —Supreme Court - composition, organization and jurisdiction.

i) Legislature - composition, powers and functions.
ii) Executive - Governor and Chief Minister - appointment powers and functions.
iii) Judiciary - High Courts - Composition, organization and jurisdiction.
c) Cases that shaped India’s Financial Landscape .The case studies includes the
banning of diesel engines cars, Demonetisation, Aadhaar, etc.

Course Outcomes
• Students of the BCA programme get equipped with a knowledge of the Indian Constitution,
particularly from the perspective of economic governance and in IT business.
• They begin to develop a nuanced analytical framework about ongoing constitutional debates and
battles which affect the domain of IT business.
• Developing as ensue of how questions of economic growth have to be balanced with other
constitutional commitments, including social and economic justice.
Question Paper Pattern
The Question Paper will have Multiple Choices Questions and 50 questions will be given and each
question carries 2 mark
