Part B – Skill-Related Fitness Components 1. WHAT ARE THE SIX COMPONENT OF SKILL RELATED FITNESS? DEFINE EACH BRIEFLY
USING YOUR OWN WORDS - agility ability to change direction quickly and efficiently. Balance: Maintaining equilibrium while
stationary or moving. - Coordination: Using different body parts together smoothly and efficiently. - Power: Combining strength and
speed to produce a forceful movement. - Reaction time: The time it takes to respond to a stimulus. - Speed: The ability to move
quickly over a short distance. 2. My skill-related fitness shows best in swimming. For example, I can efficiently coordinate my arm
and leg movements to propel myself through the water, demonstrating good coordination and speed. My balance is also crucial for
maintaining a streamlined body position, reducing drag and improving my overall performance. 3. I find power the most challenging
skill-related component. To improve, I plan to incorporate plyometrics (jump training) and weight training into my routine. Plyometrics
will enhance my explosive power, while weight training will increase my overall strength, which is a key component of power.
