Raw Materials:
1. Paddy: 480 Metric Tonnes/Month
2. Paddy Husk: 160 Metric Tonnes/Month
Fuel:
The primary fuel used in the production process is derived from the
paddy husk. This biomass fuel is both cost-effective and
environmentally friendly, contributing to a sustainable energy
solution.
Finished Products:
1. Husk: 160 Metric Tonnes/Month
2. Rice: 130 Metric Tonnes/Month
3. Rice Bran: 20 Metric Tonnes/Month
Emission and Waste Management:
The production process is designed to minimize emissions and
manage waste efficiently. The use of paddy husk as fuel significantly
reduces carbon emissions compared to fossil fuels. Additionally, any
waste generated during the production process is either recycled or
disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner, ensuring
compliance with environmental regulations.

8. Power : The electricity connection is taken from the West Bengal

State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, and the same is easily
available.

9. Water : A tubewell along with pump machine is also available for

fulfilment of demand of water.

10. Transport : The company has no proposal to buy any vehicle for
the movement of Employees as well as management.

11. Effluent & Pollution Control
• Details of ETP : Our waster water generate from per boiled
“Hadi”. We use steam for per boiled the paddy. This water
comes as waste water. We have installed an ETP for that. There
we use mechanical aeration followed by anaerobic treatment by
using bacteria. Firstly, we store the waste water and cool it. After
some time, we transfer the waste water into the mechanical
aeration tank. There we use fine bubble diffuser for aeration.
Then we use some chemical (lime, alum) and finally finally we
transfer water into the anaerobic tank. There we use some
pre-cultured bacterial to form bacterial colony.

• Solid Waste Disposal: The solid wastes of our unit are mainly
husk ash and ETP sludge. As we use husk for our boiler, so
husk-ash is one of our solid wastes. Some of its portion we sell
out to outside party and the other portion we use for our land
filling. The other solid waste is ETP Sludge. When we clean our
ETP, then the sludge comes out. We use this sludge for our land
filling.

12. Cost Of The Project and Its Sources

- Total cost of the Plant and Machinery: Rs 8200000.00(in Lakhs)

- Total cost of the Project (as stated in the affidavit): Rs 46700000.00

13. Process

• Paddy Cleaning: The process begins with the cleaning of paddy.

This step involves removing impurities like straw, dust, stones,
and other foreign materials from the raw paddy to ensure that
only clean grains move forward in the process.

• De-Stoning: After cleaning, the paddy is passed through a de-

stoning machine. This step is crucial for separating stones and
heavier impurities from the paddy grains, ensuring that the rice is
free from any foreign particles.

• Husker: In this stage, the cleaned and de-stoned paddy is fed into
a husker, which removes the husk or outer shell of the paddy,
resulting in brown rice. This process is vital for the subsequent
steps in rice production.

• Whitener: The brown rice then goes through a series of whitening

machines. These machines gradually remove the bran layer from
the rice grains, resulting in white rice. The flowchart indicates
that the whitening process is repeated three times to achieve the
desired level of whiteness and polish.

• Silky Polish: After the whitening process, the rice undergoes

silky polishing, which is carried out in two stages. Silky polishers
are used to enhance the appearance of the rice by giving it a
glossy finish, making it more appealing in the market.

• Rotary Sifter: The polished rice is then passed through a rotary

sifter. This step helps in removing any remaining broken grains,

small particles, or other unwanted materials, ensuring that only
high-quality rice proceeds to the next stage.

• Grader: After sifting, the rice is graded based on size and quality.
The grading process ensures that the rice is uniform in size and
meets specific quality standards.

• Colour Sortex: The graded rice is then subjected to color sorting

using a color sortex machine. This machine removes discolored
or defective grains, ensuring that only visually perfect rice grains
are selected for final processing.

• FRK Mixing with CMR: The sorted rice is then mixed with
Fortified Rice Kernels (FRK) and Common Milling Rice (CMR).
This step is often done to enhance the nutritional value of the rice
or to meet specific regulatory requirements for fortified rice.

• Packing: Finally, the processed rice is packed into bags or other

packaging forms. The packing step is crucial for preserving the
quality and extending the shelf life of the rice, making it ready for
distribution and sale in the market.
