There are several ways in which cutting-edge technological accomplishments can pose
harm to our society.
In the first place, the availability of new communication technologies can also have the
result of isolating people and discouraging real interaction. For example, many young
people choose to make friends online rather than communicating with their peers in the
real world, and these ‘virtual’ relationships, which do not usually last long, are a poor
substitute for real friendships.
On a more serious note, children are oftentimes the target of toxic or misleading contents
online. This is because children are inexperienced and can easily trust information posted
on the Internet. As a result, their outlook on life can be severely altered, which can either
