Interviewer: Hello, Namaste!

I am a student from IMS College working on a project related

to Consumer Behaviour. Today we’re interviewing you about your daily use of cosmetic
products. Let’s start with your name, please.

Asmita Basnet: My name is Asmita Basnet.

Interviewer: Your age?

Asmita Basnet: I’m 25 years old.

Interviewer: And where are you currently working?

Asmita Basnet: I’m working in Kupondole.

Interviewer: If it’s okay, may I ask your monthly income?

Asmita Basnet: It’s in the range of Rs. 30,000 to 35,000.

Interviewer: What are your major monthly expenses?

Asmita Basnet: Firstly, my basic needs. Then, I spend on clothing and cosmetics.

Interviewer: Got it. And where do you currently live?

Asmita Basnet: I live in Bode, but my permanent home is in Miru, Ramechhap.

Interviewer: What kind of cosmetic products do you usually use?

Asmita Basnet: I normally use skincare products like serums, moisturizers, sunscreens. For
makeup, I use foundation, concealer, and similar items.

Interviewer: Which brands do you usually prefer?

Asmita Basnet: I use Moisturizer from Mamaearth, the Aqua Glow one. Recently, I started
using sunscreen from Plum.

Interviewer: And how do you usually purchase them — online or in-store?

Asmita Basnet: Mostly, I prefer in-store shopping.

Interviewer: Do you feel influenced by digital marketing?

Asmita Basnet: Yes, a lot. I check online reviews and ratings, which often influence my
decision to try new products.

Interviewer: Do your family or friends influence your buying decisions?

Asmita Basnet: Yes, definitely. Their suggestions and feedback do play a role.

Interviewer: Before purchasing, do you check the ingredients and chemicals in the
products?
Asmita Basnet: Yes. I’m concerned about side effects. I check if the ingredients suit my skin
and whether any chemical might be harmful.

Interviewer: How do you evaluate a product after using it?

Asmita Basnet: Since I use it daily, I observe whether it causes any skin damage or
improvement. If it gives a glow, that’s good — otherwise I consider switching.

Interviewer: Do you ever donate unused cosmetic products?

Asmita Basnet: Not really. I don’t feel comfortable giving away face products that might not
suit someone else’s skin. Instead, I reuse them on my hands or feet if they don’t suit my
face.

Interviewer: Speaking of Mamaearth, have you noticed any difference compared to

products you used before?

Asmita Basnet: Yes, I feel like my skin glows more now. But I frequently change sunscreens
