Configuration Management Revert:

Revert is used to discard any changes made to the Candidate Configuration before committing
them. It allows you to go back to the Running Configuration without applying or saving the
changes.

Revert to last saved configuration restores the config from [Link] file. It restores last
saved candidate configuration from local drive. This option restores the default snapshot of
Candidate Configuration.

Let’s create Address Object with the name Revert-Save

Click on Save Changes on the top right corner.

Click OK to save the Changes.

Let’s create second object with the name Revert-Save2 after save changes.

Second object has been created now we have two object Revert-Save before the save changes
and Revert-Save2 after apply save changes on top corner.

Navigate to Device>Setup>Operations >configuration Management click on Revert to last saved
configuration

Click Yes to proceed.

The second object has been remove the configuration has reverted to last save config.

Revert to running configuration restores the config from [Link] file. This option
shows difference between snapshot taken when changes and the saved and committed running
configuration.

Let’s create Address Object with the name Test-Revert

The object has been created.

Navigate to Device>Setup>Operations >configuration Management click on Revert to running
configuration.

The address Object has been removed and the changes has been reverted to running
configuration.
