Spellcasting

is your spellcasting ability for your God of Symphony spells, as you use your
musical ability to influence the fabric of reality.
Spell Slots
The God of Symphony uses the standard spell slot progression found in the Player’s
Handbook.
Known Spells
You start with a certain number of known spells and can learn more as you gain
experience and level up.
Cantrips: You know three cantrips of your choice from the God of Symphony spell
list. You learn additional cantrips at higher levels.
Spells Known: At 1st level, you know 2 spells from the Bard spell list. You learn
additional spells as you level up.
Musical Inspirations
By playing or singing to your allies, you can inspire them, granting them bonuses.
You can choose one of the following effects:
Inspiration Bonus: Whenever you use your Music of the Heavens ability, you can give
one target a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier to one attack roll, saving
throw, or ability check. This can be used after rolling but before results are
declared.
Harmonic Shield: As a reaction, you can grant temporary hit points equal to your
proficiency bonus to an ally within 30 feet.
You can use these abilities a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier
(minimum of once) per long rest.
Melodic Spellcasting
At 2nd level, you gain the ability to enhance your spells with the power of music.
When you cast a spell that deals damage, you can choose to deal an additional 1d6
damage of the spell’s type. This bonus damage increases to 2d6 at 10th level and
3d6 at 18th level.
Symphony of Spheres
Starting at 3rd level, you unlock a defining ability—create a vibrant area of sound
that intertwines with reality. Select one of the following domains of the Symphony:
The Chorus of Chaos: Create a zone of dissonance that disrupts enemies’ spells,
giving them disadvantage on saving throws against your spells.
The Harmonious Sanctuary: Create a zone that restores hit points to allies within
it at the beginning of their turn, equal to your proficiency bonus.
Choose one domain at level 3 and another at levels 6, 10, and 14.
Ascendant Melodies
At 5th level, your command of music becomes truly divine. You can expend a spell
slot to heighten the effects of your music:
Inspiring Crescendo: When you use your Music of the Heavens ability, you can expend
a spell slot to grant an additional effect, such as boosting damage, healing, or
giving an opponent disadvantage against their next action.
Resounding Finale: As a bonus action, you can end an effect on an ally, like a
curse or charm.
Godly Presence
At 20th level, you become a full embodiment of the God of Symphony. You gain the
following benefits:
You can cast any bard spell without expending a spell slot, but only once per long
rest.
When you roll for initiative, you can choose to regain a spell slot of your choice.
You gain resistance to psychic damage and any effect that requires a saving throw.
Gameplay Notes
The God of Symphony thrives in social interactions, often taking the lead in
diplomatic encounters or pep rallies. They excel in support roles during battles
and can alter the tide of combat with their chosen domains. An ideal God of
Symphony player will immerse themselves in the role, using actual music to enhance
their performance during game sessions!
