UNISA UNIX-Python training requirements and installation instructions

The UNISA UNIX and python training will hold on from 30 June to 2 July 2025 and participants
are required to have a UNIX capable laptop to fully benefit from the training.

Preferred operation systems: Linux (Ubuntu or any other flavour), Macintosh (Apple)

Windows OS users would need to partition their system and install Ubuntu in one of the
partitions while retaining the Windows OS. You may also choose to completely replace the
Windows OS with Ubuntu, in that case, be sure to backup your files/documents in an external
hard drive. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the YouTube link below.

The other option is to use the Windows Sub-system for Linux (WSL). This allows you to use
Linux flavour of your choice in a Windows computer. The YouTube link below contains
step-by-step instructions on how to install WSL and Ubuntu in your Windows computer.

The next step and final step is to install Anaconda in the Linux (Ubuntu) OS. The Linux version
