Job Objective:
To ensure smooth running and time-efficiency of the different production processes in EPCCO while
preserving quality and cost control. Facilitate and provide analytical support in the review and assessment
of the production process.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Analyze any recommended change in any production process to ensure positive impact on cost
and efficiency of all processes is guaranteed.
Establish production schedules and coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided
according to the time they need.
Be in-charge of production planning and make recommendations to meet production
requirements through routing of production schedules, optimizing plant capacity loading and
assisting supervisors to minimize downtime of equipment.
Analyze all processes parameters, trace, and troubleshoot processes problems to ensure
effectiveness, productivity, quality & reliability and recommend modifications.
Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures
and controls covering all areas of Process activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative
requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
Perform capacity requirements planning to determine available capacities, capacity requirements
and resources allocation.
Assist in formulating and recommending solutions to address recurring process equipment
problems beyond normal maintenance routine scope.
Use process instruments and tools to audit main equipment performance, calculate utilization
factor of equipment, and optimize equipment performance.
Conduct special studies when required by Production Manager.
Monitor work progress and report schedule shortfalls to Production Manager, as required.
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and
controls across the Process section to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance,
delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Monitor and test performance of equipment in the production area to ensure proper operation and
compliance with established parameters to deliver uninterrupted service and product to the
customer.
Review production documentation i.e. ISO /API quality manuals, drawings, work instructions,
standard operating procedures (SPO) etc., and compile material requirements for Production
Department.
Study equipment incident reports and participate in investigations to determine cause(s) of the
incident and recommend appropriate corrective and future preventive actions.
Conduct project review to ensure that all implemented projects and programs conform to Plants’
specifications, schedule, engineering standards and government/ environment / safety
regulations.
Participate in witnessing commissioning of newly installed equipment, as requested, to ascertain
that the equipment and auxiliaries follow specifications.
Qualifications and competencies
Education
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
Language
Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
Skills
Expert knowledge of specific process engineering disciplines.
Detailed and expert knowledge of EPCCO Extensive knowledge of engineering design principles.
Extensive knowledge of engineering design principles.
Sound understanding of engineering risk management philosophy and techniques.
Broad knowledge of all relevant EPCCO plant and equipment.
Exceptional communication, Management, and leadership skills to ensure that the operational
processes of the plant run smoothly.
Expert knowledge of cement manufacturing, and quarrying process.
In-Depth knowledge of the chemistry of clinker and cement.
Outstanding problem-solving skills and resolve any issues that may derail production.
Outstanding time Management skills.
Knowledge of cost accounting fundamentals and labor reporting.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Excellent process management, production planning, and control report writing
Knowledge of SAP or any other ERP system.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Experience
7 to 10 years of progressive experience in a relevant position in mining / cement industry or in an
industrial environment.

Minimum 5 years’ [Link] a senior supervisor or equivalent.
