Quantum Computing Basics and Applications

Quantum computing utilizes quantum mechanics to process information with quantum bits (qubits) that can exist in superpositions. This allows quantum computers to solve specific problems significantly faster than classical computers. Major applications of quantum computing include cryptography, drug discovery, and optimization.

Understanding Quantum Computing

Quantum computing leverages the principles of quantum mechanics to process information.

Unlike classical computers, which use bits (0 or 1), quantum computers use quantum bits or
qubits.

Qubits can exist in a superposition of states, enabling quantum computers to solve certain
problems much faster than classical counterparts. Key applications include cryptography,
drug discovery, and optimization.
