REFLECTION

Throughout my immersion, I learned and realize a lot of things. At first, I don't

have the energy to communicate with them, they are loud and naughty, and I am silent
most of the time and I just respond whenever I needed to. But as time seems to end, I
was slowly being fond of them. Being a teacher requires passion, patience and skill. I
learned from Sir Alfred, the way he handle his class made me reflect that being a
teacher really requires passion, he is gentle and soft with them, listening to their rants
and he is also strict whenever he needed to, he gave advices to his students after
hearing their concerns.
Also, being a teacher, they must have patience to deal with different personalities
and must be calm enough to handle situations like when students are not attentive and
does not listen to the discussion, etc.
Another thing, being a teacher requires skills. A teacher must be able to deliver
his/her lessons in an effective and engaging way, so, that students will listen and will be
interested. I learned it when I was observing the class, how the pst's and subject
teachers handle the students in class. I have come to know that, if I were going to
pursue this profession, I must really know my students well, they must be comfortable
to me and I must observe and know their different learning style, so, that my teaching
will be effective and efficient.
Hence, in the end, I experienced and got involve in the environment of being a
teacher. All I can say is that, I love the idea of teaching but I do not have the energy to
engage with different personalities, however, it was a nice feeling being greeted with
respect and being close to them. I must really consider.
