#Why This university?
I chose Bangor University because it offers an ideal combination of academic excellence, student
support, and quality of life. The university is known for its strong teaching quality and high student
satisfaction, which reassures me that I’ll receive a well-structured education guided by experienced
lecturers.
One of the key factors for me was the course content itself—it’s very modern, practical, and aligned
with current industry trends, which I believe will help me build the right skills and knowledge for my
future career. Bangor also provides additional support, like employability workshops and career advice,
which will be very helpful when I look for jobs after graduation.
Apart from academics, I was also attracted by the location. Bangor is set in a beautiful and peaceful part
of North Wales, surrounded by mountains and the sea, which creates a perfect environment for focused
study and personal wellbeing.
Lastly, Bangor offers good value for money because the tuition fees and living costs are more affordable
compared to many other UK cities. All of these factors together made me feel confident that Bangor
University is the right choice for my higher education journey.

# Where will you live?
I plan to live in a private room in a shared student house very close to Bangor University, specifically
within a 5–10 minute walk to the main campus.
The address of the house I’m considering is 9 Belmont Street, Bangor, Gwynedd, LL57 2UN, UK.
This area is popular among students and is quite convenient, because it has local shops, restaurants, and
easy access to university facilities. Living this close means I won’t have to spend much on daily transport.
Total estimated monthly cost £1,350
Rent for private room £900
Gas & electricity £80
Water £30
High-speed internet £40
Council tax (shared) £50
Food & groceries £200
Local transport (bus, etc.) £50P
Total £1,350
Explanation
My rent and all household bills come to around £1,100 per month, which includes gas, electricity, water,
internet, and council tax.
I expect to spend around £200 per month on food and groceries, cooking most meals at home.
For local transport, my accommodation is within a 5–10 minute walk to the university, I mainly plan to
walk. But I’ve added around £50 per month for occasional bus travel, shopping trips, or
exploring nearby places.
```My accommodation is located at 9 Belmont Street, Bangor, LL57 2UN, which is in Upper Bangor only
about a 5–10 minute``` walk to the main Bangor University [Link] are local buses, such as the
Arriva Wales bus service.
The nearest bus stop (e.g. College Road stop) is within 2–3 minutes walk from my house.
Buses run frequently (every 10–15 minutes during weekdays).
Bus journey to the main campus or library area takes about 3–5 minutes.
Cycling
Cycling from my accommodation to the university takes about 3–4 minutes.
