ARITHMETIC MEAN

1. The mean salary of 100 laborers working in a factory , running in two shifts of 40 and 60 workers
respectively is birr 380. The mean salary of the 40 laborers working in the morning shift is birr 350.
Find the mean salary of the 60 laborers working in the evening shift.

GEOMETRIC MEAN

2.A machine depreciated by 10% each in the first two years and by 40% in the third year. Find out
the average rate of depreciation.
HARMONIC MEAN.

[Link] a factory a mechanic takes 15 days to fabricate a machine, the second mechanic takes 18 days,
the third takes 30 days and the fourth takes 90 days. Find the average number of days taken by the
workers to fabricate the machine.
