Increase use of public transport

Introduction

Swelling number of car on roads, especially, in major cities of the world has given rise to many problems.
( paraphrase) This dramatic rise has led some metropolises to consider prohibiting personal transport form the busy
urban centres. ( Paraphrase) I disagree with this to a large extent and this easy will explain why. (Your opinion)

Body Paragraph-1

Existing public transport + infrastructure may not cope (Point -1, disagree)
Firstly, banning private vehicle form a central business districts of a number of large urban areas may lead to
additional dependence on public transport and the given commuting system may not be equipped to cope with extra
footfalls ( Opening/ TOPIC statement.)With prohibition on use of personal cars, people who used their own transport
will have to resort to government or public vehicles thus putting extra load on buses at the busy hours of the day.
For example, simply adding extra train or bus services will not work if the train stations cannot handle increased
passenger load at the peak hours. Hence, prohibiting personal transports within busy city centres and replacing them
with public vehicles without considering change in working timings, which may reduce rush hour traffic, may not be
a viable solution.

Banning cars from a central busy districts of a number of large urban area will actually cause additional problems
due to insufficient infrastructure.) As tens of thousands of commuters who relied on using their cars will suddenly be
required to find alternative methods to enter the city, public existing transport facilities and infrastructure will be
overwhelmed. . For example simply adding extra train services will not work if the train stations cannot cope with
these new commuters, especially as most of them need to enter and exit the city during peak hours. Therefore, mere
banning cars without additional investment in other services is a recipe for disaster.

Body Paragraph-2

City residence and businesses rely on these vehicles ( Point -2, disagree)

There will also be devastating economic consequences as many businesses in city centres rely on private vehicles to
deliver supplies on a daily basis. Without this form of transport, these businesses will soon close. Restaurants require
daily food deliveries in the same way as florists need their flowers brought in early each morning. While a ban on
private cars may improve traffic and lower pollution, it will also cause businesses to fail and increase unemployment.

Conclusion

In conclusion, increasing ownership of private vehicles has resulted in a number of significant urban issues.

It has been suggested that an effective solution would be to remove these vehicles from city zones. I my oinion,
banning private vehicles is not a viable option as public transport services would not be able to cope with the higher
demand and many companies rely on using private cars to run their businesses successfully.

Many offenders commit more crimes after serving the first punishment. Why is this happening, and what measures
can be taken to tackle this problem?
A large number of criminals who serve their first prison sentence, leave prison only to reoffend. This is mainly
because of the lack of rehabilitation and difficulty finding employments once released. There are a number of
solutions which should be implemented to deal with criminals who recommit crimes.

Firstly, the reason for most first-time offenders committing crimes again, once they have been released from prison,
is due to the lack of rehabilitation whilst in prison. In other words, offenders are not given a chance to retrain and
learn new skills for their future or develop a deeper understanding of correct moral behaviour and instead mix with
other criminals, which only strengthens their criminal intentions. Secondly, repeat offending is also owing to the
difficulty in finding employment which leads them back to crime, regardless of the consequences.

There are two effective solutions to the problem of repeat offenders. One way to tackle this is to ensure that all
criminals entereing prisons are given the chance to retain with useful skills which will hopefully ensure them a job
after they have served their sentence. By doing this, it will help them reintegrate back into society and give them
some means of supporting themselves [Link] method of dealing with criminals who reoffend Is to have
more supervision and checks in place when they are back in society. This solution wwould hopefully prevent them
from taking any chances and deter them from reoffending because they are being so closely watched.

In conclusion, having trained in person and also close observation when first time offenders are released are
effective in dealing with the issue. If governments implemented theses solutions, crime figures would soon drop.
