Teach ​For ​India 2025 ​Fellowship Conditional Offer ​Commitment ​Form

1. I understand that I am being made a conditional offer to join the Fellowship and would be required to
show the required level of skill and competence in my English language proficiency for the offer to be
confirmed.

Conditions of the Offer:

● Confirming this conditional offer will mean you are ready and willing to participate in a
foundation course on English language proficiency. The actual course will be decided on and
aligned collectively by you and your matriculation point of contact from Teach For India. (These
are reputed and well-researched courses that will benefit any individual in strengthening
language abilities.)
● You must leverage all aspects of the program and begin participating within a month of
confirming this conditional offer. You must also check in with your matriculation POC bimonthly
to share updates on the progress.
● You will be required to undertake a test to demonstrate proficiency after 3 months of the start of
the course. Successful completion will result in a confirmed offer to join the Fellowship.
● If you get an offer, you are expected to accept. If for any reason you receive an offer but decline
it, or if you enrol in a course but decline the offer mid-way or do not participate/engage with all
aspects of the course, then it will be expected that you reimburse (i.e. pay back) 50% of the cost
of the course enrolled in.

If I am accepted into the Fellowship, I commit to the following:

2. By committing to the full-time role of a Fellow from May/June 2025 to April 2027, I commit that:

i. My students will receive an excellent and equitable education through my following actions:

● Regular attendance of school and class as per the placement school timings, grade and subject
allocation.
● Commitment towards a minimum of 6 instructional hours per day to ensure students’
attendance, learning, engagement and growth.
● Teaching students ​in ​​English​​language as this is the medium of instruction of the school.
● Showing up prepared with ​(written) lesson plans in line with the curriculum, and additional
supplementary activities for students’ holistic development.
● Ensuring access to technology for learning to continue in virtual settings through the blended
learning format (if such a situation arises).
● Mark​ing ​students’ ​work​ ​on ​regular ​basis; updating all necessary trackers/databases regularly;
ensuring integrity and accuracy of all data.
● Commiting to abide by the expectations of the placement school such as administrative work,
dress code etc.
● Ensuring students’ safety and well being by behaving in accordance with Teach For India’s Child
Protection Policy, Fellow Honour Code, Field Trip Policy inside and outside​​​the classroom.

ii. I will focus on my learning and development through my following actions:

● Attending the mandatory residential ​training called ​Institute​​to start strong.


● Leveraging ongoing ​development​​sessions​, retreats and conferences ​run ​by ​my ​manager​​and ​city​​
team; to hone my skills as a teacher and leader.
● Engaging with diverse stakeholders in a responsible and respectful manner, in service to student
needs.
● Participating in leadership development conversations, designed for reflection and growth.
● Proactively leveraging the peer and alumni network towards expanding my impact.

3. I understand that my monthly compensation will ​be INR 25,344 (CTC) ​for ​the ​duration ​of ​the
​Fellowship. In addition to this, I may be entitled to a city compensatory allowance and reimbursements
based on the organisation's policy. (This may vary for Fellows who are on sabbatical/corporate
sponsorship; in which case you will be entitled to compensation based on your agreement with your
parent organisation).

4. I understand that the conditions of the offer are subject to:


a. Meeting the commitments outlined above.
b. Referral checks of educational qualifications and/or employment history.
c. Not having any undisclosed criminal record.
d. Not having undisclosed health concerns ​which would impact my ability or suitability to work
with children.
e. Completing undergraduate education by May/June/July 2025 (if relevant).
f. Completion of all formalities required to secure corporate sponsorship (if relevant).
g. Committing to complete the Fellowship, with exception of extreme emergencies where Fellows
are expected to give a one-month notice period.
h. Not having any parallel commitments (educational or jobs) during the course of the Fellowship.

My signing this form is confirmation of my commitment to my students, my learning, and the conditions
of the offer stated above. I understand that upon receipt of this signed form Teach For India makes a
commitment to a school to place a Fellow with a class of students, and if I decide to withdraw from the
Fellowship once I have made this commitment, my withdrawal could leave a class of students without
a teacher at all.
