People believed that nowadays to be self-employed or entrepreneur is chosen by many people, rather

than to work for a company or organization. In my perspective, the two side of self-employed and work
as a salary-man in the company or organization are interesting area to be written. We have to research
deeper the main reason why they prefer self-employed like the reasons about a lot of company
pressure, much free time to improve work-live-balance and their expectation of bigger income.

Firstly, Entrepreneur is only the dream in the air. In fact, according to world entrepreneur statistic there
are only 2,5 to 5% of people choose to be self-employed and the 95% most people work as salary man
for company or organization. People tend to stay in company because it safe and moderate, they have
career or perhaps have the insurance for their old-age. But generally, the main reason they want to
became self-employed is because they always complain about the company pressure and their stressful
work.

Secondly, why people choose to be self-employed is sometimes company does not give them free time
to improve their skill and enough time to be together with their children or family. Meanwhile, the
impact is they never improve and enhance their work-live-balance. Usually, the company is only care
about relevant output and result. Last but not least they might resign from their company because they
do not get bigger income as their expectation. They obviously think, become self-employee is the
solution of bigger and passive income. Moreover, they are not aware being self-employed have many
challenges and disadvantage.

However/On the contrary, there are many disadvantage of being self-employed which one related to
the high risk. Five percent people were entrepreneur. According to entrepreneur research in 2023, there
are only 10 in 100 person who survive in second year of entrepreneurship. However, there are only 5
will be survive in 5th years and only 2 were the last survive in 10 years. There is natural selection and
survive of the fittest of entrepreneur in amount of capital, human resource, competition, and customer
buying power. A successful entrepreneur usually encourage by their privilege or family which you cannot
fairly compete. Please stay on your office and never join the war when you are not ready.

In conclusion, many people choose to be self-employed, rather than to work for a company or
organization is because: a lot of company pressure, free time to improve work-live-balance, and the
expectation of bigger income despite being self-employed is very high risk and has uncertain income.
