The Playbook of No Rivals – The Orynth Way

Assignment Case: Cracking the Outreach Strategy

Please note this is only an assignment and as junior consultants we’re not expecting you to
outreach.

The Challenge
You’re part of the Growth team at Orynth Consulting, a newly launched student-led consulting
collective. Your goal is to help us onboard 10 well-known Indian startups or brands over the
next 6 months.

We want to see your sharpest thinking — a practical roadmap that we can actually use to build
relationships and close real clients.

Your Task
Design a comprehensive outreach strategy to help Orynth secure its first 10 major clients.
You’ll also test your strategy by applying it to one real Indian company of your choice.

Your document or deck should address the following:

Target Identification

● What kind of companies are the best fit for Orynth right now?

● Should we go after funded startups, D2C brands, SaaS players, or legacy businesses?

● What kind of problem statements should we solve for them?

Outreach Channels
● What channels should we use to reach out?
(LinkedIn, cold emails, alumni connects, startup events, incubators, student societies,
etc.)

● Are there any key partners or intro pathways we should explore?

Positioning & Messaging

● How do we present Orynth in a way that makes us credible and valuable, even as a
student-led firm?

● What could be our strongest value proposition?

● Share 2–3 pitch angles we could use.

Company-Specific Plan

● Pick one Indian company (e.g., Mamaearth, Zomato, boAt, Paper Boat, Marico, Dunzo,
Tata 1mg, etc.)

● What service or insight could we offer them that would add real value?

● How would your outreach approach look if we were targeting this specific brand?

● What objections might they have — and how would you respond?

Evaluation Criteria
We’re looking for:

● Strategic depth

● Practical, real-world thinking

● Creative yet realistic approaches

● Clear structure and persuasive writing

● Powerpoint and presentation skills
