Data to be Gathered
Plant Height (cm)
Discussion
In our Dinorado rice planting, only a small portion of
the total sample successfully grew, and none of the
plants proceeded to yield. Despite multiple replanting
attempts, establishment remained poor, and only the
plant height parameter could be recorded due to the
unsuccessful crop development.
Data to be Gathered
Plant Height (cm)
Discussion
The Katihan variety was successfully cultivated, producing
an overall average yield. While some plants yielded less
than expected, the majority produced grains satisfactorily.
Data to be Gathered
Culm Length (cm)
Discussion
The mean culm length of the Katihan variety ranged from
36.8 cm to 45.4 cm, which is considered an average culm
length across all replicates.
Data to be Gathered
Panicle Length (cm)
Discussion
The spikelet length of the Katihan variety ranged from
15.9 cm to 17.3 cm, with some replicates exhibiting
longer spikelets than others
Data to be Gathered
Number of Productive tillers
Discussion
The average number of productive tillers among
the replicates of the Katihan variety ranged from 3
.4 to 7.3. Some replicates had as few as 2
productive tillers, while the maximum observed
was 20.
Data to be Gathered
Number of Filled Grains per Panicle
Discussion
The number of filled grains per panicle was
extremely low, ranging from a minimum of 2 to a
maximum of 6.
Data to be Gathered
Number of Unfilled Grains per Panicle
Discussion
The number of unfilled grains in the Katihan variety
had an average ranging from 83 to 91.9 per panicle.
Data to be Gathered
Spikelet Fertility
The spikelet fertility of the Katihan variety reached a maximum mean of 3.2%.
Yield
The total yield of the Katihan variety was 0.775 grams.
