− 3, −7, −11, − 15 ...
a. −75 b. −83 c. − 87 d. − 79

2)
The 11th term of the A.P. -3, - 12 , 2, ..... is

1
a. 28 b. 22 c. -38 d. -48 2

3) For an A.P., if a = 10 and d = 3, find tn.

a. 3n + 7 b. 7n + 3 c. - 3n + 7 d. - 7n - 3

Q.2 Solve the following question. (Any Two) (4)

1) There are 21 rows of seats in an auditorium. The first row is of 20 seats, the second of 22
seats, the third of 24 seats, and so on. How many chairs are there in the 21st row?

2) Find the sum of first 100 terms of A.P. 14, 16, 18, ...

3) 11, 8, 5, 2, ... In this A.P. which term is number -151 ?

Q.3 Solve the following question. (Any Two) (6)

1) Find how many three digit natural numbers are divisible by 5.

2) If the 9th term of an A.P. is zero then show that the 29th term is twice the 19th term.

3) In an A.P. 19th term is 52 and 38th term is 128, find sum of first 56 terms.

Q.4 Solve the following question. (Any One) (4)

1) If m times the mth term of an A.P. is equal to n times nth term then show that the (m + n) term
of the A.P. is zero.

2) As shown in the figure, take point A on the line and draw a half circle P1 of radius 0.5 with A
as centre. It intersects given line in point B. Now taking B as centre draw a half circle P2 of
radius 1 cm which is on the other side of the line.
Now again taking A as centre draw a half circle P3 of radius 1.5 cm. If we draw half circles
like this having radius 0.5 cm, 1 cm, 1.5 cm, 2 cm, we get a figure of spiral shape. Find the

length of such spiral shaped figure formed by 13 such half circles. (π = 22

Q.5 Solve the following question. (Any One) (3)

1) Find three consecutive terms in the A.P. whose sum is 27 and their product is 504. (The
terms are in ascending order.)

2) The sum of first n terms of an A.P. is 4n2 - n. If its nth term is 107, find the value of n. Also
find the 21st term of this A.P.
