1. There are two sections Part A and Part B. Both are compulsory.
2. Part A is a Research Based Project
3. Part B is an assignment
Part A
I. Project: Air Pollution in Delhi (Individual Project to be done by each child)
Introduction: Delhi's air pollution is a pressing environmental and health
concern, often reaching hazardous levels whereas Sikkim provides a region with
lesser air pollution. Multiple factors contribute to this, including vehicle
emissions, industrial activity, construction dust, and seasonal factors like stubble
burning and temperature inversions.
A project will be done to understand the causes of air pollution in Delhi and Sikkim to
find the effective solutions and controls measures to check air pollution in Delhi and
Sikkim that are acceptable and feasible by developing critical thinking, research, and
presentation skills while raising awareness about air pollution and its importance.
Methodology:
Students will do research on air pollution in Delhi and Sikkim to complete the
following tasks.
1. List the natural and man-made causes of air pollution in Delhi and
Sikkim.
2. Mention the effects of air pollution on human health, environment and
climate.
3. Collect data on average air quality indexes of Delhi and Sikkim for
each month of year 2024 (as shown in the graph above).
4. Collect data on sources of PM2.5, PM 10 leading to air pollution.
5. List the control measures to reduce air pollution.
6. Calculate the carbon footprints of your house using the following
online carbon footprint calculators for 1 month
[Link]
[Link]
7. Finally, the students will draw the recycling symbols used.

project is to get familiarized with the rights and duties as a consumer and legal measures
available to protect from being exploited in the market.
The content must cover the following:
Meaning of Consumer Awareness
Forms of Consumer Exploitation / Malpractices
Factors causing exploitation of the Consumers
Rights and Duties of the Consumers
Consumer Protection Measures
Relevant case studies (any two)
OR
Social Issues
Social issues are recognized by society as a problem that is preventing society from
functioning at an optimal level. Prepare a project on any three of the following social evils
still prevailing in our society; highlighting the reasons, effects and suggest solutions to get
them eliminated from our country-
Poverty
Illiteracy
Corruption
Gender Inequality

Domestic violence against women and child abuse.
OR
Sustainable Development
Sustainable Development calls for a rethink as the impact will be worrisome on mankind.
This challenging situation in the present calls for an immense learning opportunity for the
entire human race in the future.
Based on the current scenario, prepare a project on the following challenges faced by a
country like India:
Responsible production and consumption ( efficient management of resources,
ensuring food security, reducing food wastage and other relevant details)
Marginal and vulnerable groups like migrant workers. (economic and social
consequences) and how it affects them.
Water usage and the wastage of this precious resource and its long term effects for
domestic, industrial, and agricultural use in the future.
Air pollution and its long term effects on human beings.
Long term solutions to the above problems must be highlighted.
What concerted efforts can be taken by the present generation to overcome the aforesaid
challenges?
