Characteristics
To reach out to the potential clients, we ran an online questionnaire survey using Google forms to get
better knowledge of the needs of our buyers (Appendix A). We inquired about their experience with
rivals' items and asked them to rate their level of satisfaction on a scale from 1 to 5.
As claimed by our report, while purchasing video camera, clients mostly seek for the following features:
quality of the picture, color intensity, auto-focus, detalisation, image stabilization and affordable price
with the range of camera colors availability. In order to be ahead of the other competitors, we asked
directly from the consumers, what would they wanted to be implemented in the camcorders and we
came up with the features that could not be found in other brands. Embedded wheels and “Air Share”
application for fast sharing content were included as a competitive advantage.
QFD Table
TQM is described as both a philosophy and a set of guiding principles that serve as the basis of a
company that is always improving. It is the use of quantitative tools and personnel management to
enhance all processes inside a business and to meet and surpass consumer requirements short and long
term. TQM is a disciplined method that incorporates core management concepts, existing improvement
efforts, and innovative methods. The Total Quality Management approach effectively integrates the
needed quality concepts into the company's work operations and general culture by utilizing strategy,
statistics, and adequate communications networks.
Competitors
In 2020, the worldwide digital camera market is estimated to have cost $13.1 billion USD. Video cameras
are used to capture digital photos and recordings that may be seen through the viewer or on a full -
screen display. The big 2 players in the market always were SONY and Canon cameras.
We asked customers to rate their experience with both cameras and analyzed advantages and
disadvantages with the help from HOQ, it is clear that both brands have high reviews (Table 2).
Canon has been producing film and subsequently digital cameras since 1937, they manufacture DSLR
cameras as well as a wide range of small and mirrorless camcorders. Full-frame and cropped sensor
cameras are included. Furthermore, the selection of Canon and third-party lenses for their camera
models is enormous. As a consequence, getting started and producing stunning videos is simple with
Canon. Our respondents in questionnaire highlighted Canon’s excellent color intensity with detalization
and marked 5 points for this requirements, however it has one disadvantage that is weight.
Regarding second Competitor-Sony, they are the beast in sensor technological superiority, which offers
Sony a significant edge when it comes to developing their own system and full-frame camcorders: Sony
uses this experience to produce cameras with exceptional video quality and the most precise pixel
mechanism today. Interviewees pointed out high quality picture and light weight that comes from
minimalistic body frame of the camera, on the other hand, it is drawback is image stabilization.
